Scarce work on the history of Fife) 2pp,[iii]-xvi,[1]-468,(6), frontispiece (drawn by J. Brooks), + 3 leaves of engraved plates plus two additional drawings noted. A new edition of Sibbald’s classic naturaland geographical travelogue of southern Scotland. Robert Sibbald, 1641 -1722, was a Scottish physician, naturalist, and antiquary Some marking through age to the text but a sound copy. Plates as called for in the instructions to the binder at the rear. A nice modern rebind in quarter leather tooled in gilt to the spine, with marbled boards.
