Account of the 1911 Abor Expedition under Major-General Hamilton Bower, carried out to punish the perpetrators of a massacre of a British colonial official, a doctor and their coolies in March 1911. The perpetrators were caught afte rsome fighting and the tribal chiefs – the Gams – submitted to the British Raj, including the destruction of their tribal centres.
