Early leather binding with four raised bands on the spine, and leather title with gilt lettering dated 1633. Engraved title page with an illustration of Alexander the Great. Fold-out map showing the extent of Alexander’s empirecomplete at page one; engraved illustration at page 81. A nice copy of this early edition (published in several locations in 1633). 1st edition of this version. 364pp plus index. Leather binding sound though some wear to spine edges. Fold out map in very good condition
