Written in 1887, work of future fantasy is effectively a history written backwards from the ‘far future’ – the year 2000 (!) to the ‘present day’ 1887. A fascinating historical relic. Interestingly this precedes H.G. Wells ‘The Time machine’ published in 1895 and his later ‘The Shape of Things to Come’ and was arguably an influence on these works. this reprint, in red cloth, has the nice period jacket (Price-clipped).
