First edition in the original biinding of black cloth with ochre lettering (which Benn used for most of the first editions of this period) .Scarce novel re–issued under Hilton’s name after his success as a mainstream novelist. Spine worn with minor repairs to edges  and some creasing. Covers lightly marked (common with Benn firsts of this period as  as the ink was subsceptible to damp or water staining).
