Prepared for Major-General Viscount Melville [Henry Dundas, who played a major part inthe Anglo-Sikh war. He bacame Commander of the King’s troops in Scotland in 18544 and ultimately Governor of Ediburgh castle . 116pp, [8] folded leaves of plates : ill., music [field calls] ; 20cm. Original patterned boards are water-marked otherwise a VG copy. With the signature to the front endpaper of James Duff (of the Duff-Dunbars], a Captain in the 74th Regiment, and then Lt. Colonel of the Banff, Moray, and Nairn Militia. Very scarce.
