Description
The elusive first edition of this famous of books about hauntings. Borley Rectory became known as the “the most haunted house in England” after being given the description by psychic researcher Harry Price. The original findings were front page news in the Daily Mirror in the 1920s. Price documented a series of alleged hauntings from the time the rectory was built in 1863 and having lived there from May 1937 to May 1938 it was from this experience that he wrote this book. The Rectory was badly damaged by fire in 1939 and demolished in 1944. A fair copy only with worn and marked covers (see scan). Very scarce wartime production. No copies currently available (August 2022) on the net.
