‘The sensational Melbourne Mystery Novel’.   Original wrappers with atmospheric cover illustration. This appears to be identical to the UK first edition covers. Lacks rear cover, ending with the last age of the book (p230). Spine is worn with some loss to the original lettering of  ‘Warner’s “Safe” Cure’. A Pages and covers loose in places and corners chipped but generally in Good condition for its age . Published around 1889 (the first edition was self published im melbourne in 1886). Scarce in the original wraps.
