Description

‘Special presentation edition’ stamped to copyright page (presumably denoting an author’s copy). Bruce Hamilton was the older brother of Patrick Hamilton and godson of Arthur Conan Doyle. A socialist in perspective, he wrote 6 crime novels in the1930s of which this is the last. Interestingly Wikipedia gives 1939 as publication date, which is true of the American first, but this is dated 19389. All his novels are scarce. This is a manhunt story in a Buchanesque style. Spine lean and some light marks to covers otherwise a Good+ copy of a very scarce book.
