With a 15 page introduction by Sir Walter Scott., a member of the Bannatyne Club, who presented the publication of this this tract to the members. pp. vi, xv, 54, original half leather binding with brown paper boards, lettered in gilt. Trial in 1754 with a supernatural element. Witht he bookplate of LIEUTENANT-COLONEL HENRY ROWLAND BRANDRETH, R.E., F.R.S to the front pastedown, and another bookplate to the front endpaper. Boards are scuffed at the leather corners and leather is rubbed to spine otherwise a VG copy.
