Particularly of interest re the author’s remarks ion indigenous people of the Northern areas of Norway, Lapland etc. Two volumes in uniform blue cloth, with gilt titles and cover decorations. Volume I – xv, 257 pp. Two plates – Frontispiece of Throndhjem Cathedral and plate of Chapel in Throndhjem Cathedral. Both plates with tissue guards intact. Volume II – ix, 224 pp. Frontispiece of Hammerfest and plate of Svolvier. Tissue guard to the Svolvier plate but not the frontispiece.

A nice set. Both volumes have some foxing to endpapers and bruising to spine ends. They have been located separately at some pint as the spine and spine lettering of volume 2 is dull in comparison to volume 1. There is some marking to the front pastedown of volume 1 where a bookplate may have been removed, and some wear to the gutter there, but the bindings are tight. VG
