The forst book of Gibbon’s classic Scots Quair trilogy, voted Scotland’s favourite book in a poll by the BBC in 2016. First edition in the original black cloth. A couple of small abrasions to edges of the covers and slight snagging to the foot of the spine, a few light foxing spots. Generally a VG copy of this scarce first edition.Front panel, part spine and front flap of the dustjacket laid in. Very scarce.
