‘With 56 illustrations a photogravure frontispiece and a map’. Colonel Maharajah Sir Jagatjit Singh Sahib Bahadur (24 November 1872 – 19 June 1949) was the last ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Kapurthala during the British Raj in India, from 1877 until his death, in 1949. He travelled extensively and this account was created primarily for his friends and those he associated with politically. Rebound in a half leather on boards with Kapurthala State coat of arms on cloth popasted to the front board.. Some (inactive) insect damage (small holes) to pages and segment cut from endpaper (see scan) . Raised embossed library stamp to title and a couple of small signatures to early pages. Map to rear is complete but paper is fragile. A scarce item in anice binding.
