Description

Charles Higgins was injured at Gallipoli in 1915 but survived to become a modernist painter (exhibited with Picasso) as ‘Pic’. His poetry was published under the ‘Dall’ pseudonym and covered both war poetry and poetry with a mystical taint. Higgins, although born in Buenos Aries had Scottish antecedents and felt a connection to the area, partiicularly the Highlands, and many of the poems reflect this.
