Mystery set in a boarding school for girls. This has a UK setting (on the Thames – as indicated in the map on the endpapers)and no Americanisms in the language that I can ascertain   despite White being an American author.  Foxing spots to the edge of the text block and page edges. VG in slightly worn jacket priced at 3/6d  which has a few small tears (some repaired internally with tape and loss to corners and tips). Very scarce
