First appearance in book form of the the story ‘Spurs’, basis for the controversial film ‘Freaks’ which dealt with disability and the revulsion that disability was associated with in the 1920s in an innovative but challenging way and which caused a succession of censorship issues to be faced.

Slight spine lean and small spot to covers. Foxing, particularly to prelims but affecting the text, especially in the early pages. Otherwise a VG copy. Dark red cloth with bottle motif and titling in black.
