Illustrated collection of moral poems for the young, with woodcuts by Thomas Bewick. Earlier editions were unattributed. This has a preface by J.H.W and is attributed to Wynne on the title page. Editions seem to have been successively printed by printers connected with St Paul’s Church. Small, 8vo vii, 9- 178pp plus two pages of adverts for books published by J. Harris. Rebound in smart cloth on brown boards. Purchased with a group of books bound by the binder Eric Sweet and likely to be his work. Housed in a folded card container with paper title label. Some handling marks to text but generally a Good+ copy of a scarce little work.
