Very scarce Golden Age Detective novel A fair copy only. Orange cloth is marked [see scans] and has some uneven fading due to damp, particularly to the rear. Stationer’s library stamp to the front endpaper.  Edges of the text block have several unsightly stians [tea or coffee?]  which affect the margins  but not the text. Handling marks throughout of reading use .  Looks OK externally but a Fair copy of this scarce item (no other copies listed on the net at time of cataloguing]
